Recently we teamed up with architect Hames Sherley and building team W. Charlton Builders on a project for the Cock & Bull pub in Newmarket, Auckland.  The design captured the best of the English/Irish pub look and mixed it with a Kiwi feel.  An enormous amount of care and attention to detail was taken to ensure an authentic atmosphere including importing memorabilia from England!  As you can see from the photos, the result has made the Cock & Bull pub a magnificent feature for Newmarket.

Paints Used:

Exterior:
Resene Burgundy, black and gold acrylics.

Interior:

Ceilings: – Flat acrylic called “putty”

Scotias: Colonial White

Parapets: Terracotta and Sandex textured finish used

Stainwork: “Rimu” lacquer finish (a two pot finish by Mirotone

Wallpaper: Imported from Europe.  Most of which was supplied by Swinson Wall Coverings in Newmarket.
